Process Highlights
-
Ensure all commercial documents are signed and notarized before submission.
-
USACC affixes the official Chamber of Commerce stamp to the documents.
-
Authentication from the U.S. Department of State is arranged if required by Kuwaiti importers or governmental authorities.
-
Final legalization is completed by the Embassy of Kuwait in the USA.
How to Submit Commercial Documents
Applicants may submit commercial documents by mail or through an authorized courier service. Each submission should clearly specify that legalization is required for use in Kuwait. A prepaid, self-addressed return envelope with a tracking number is strongly recommended.
Important Notes
-
All commercial documents must be originals or notarized copies.
-
Processing time depends on document type and the issuing chamber’s verification period.
-
Embassy of Kuwait does not charge a legalization fee for commercial invoices and certificates of origin, but U.S.-based certification fees still apply.
-
Incomplete or unsigned documents will be returned without processing.
